...And I'm Back!

Hey Guys!

Sorry I haven't been able to post anything in the past week or so. I'm not sure how regularly people check this blog, but I am still here and reviewing! I had to send my laptop in for repairs which made it impossible for me to blog. I have some guest posts to share, as well as two reviews. I would get on that right now, but I leave for school on Sunday and am in the middle of packing/working/seeing my friends for the last time so I'll probably still be MIA until next week. New Email Address

So I've been having a problem with my email. Depending on who I'm sending it to, it will go to people's junk folder (this has happened with yahoo and gmail accounts so far). This is super annoying to me, so I am just going to use another email address. The new address is megan1430[at]yahoo[dot]com. If you have my old email in your address book, feel free to keep emailing me there. I will still check my aim account regularly, but otherwise, this is the email I'll be using. Thanks!

Happy Birthday Simply Books!

I feel really bad because I just remembered that it was Simply Books's two year blogoversary! I am such a bad blogger haha. But I can't believe that it's been two whole years since I started blogging. It went by so fast! I've read and reviewed so many books and had such a good time doing it. Thanks to everyone who has commented or emailed or even just written interesting blog posts/reviews on their own blogs. Thanks for entertaining me!

I'm back! & Other Official Business

Wow I can't believe I haven't posted anything in almost a month! Sorry about that, guys. After I reviewed The Karma Club, I went to Disney World for my senior class trip. Then the next weekend was my prom. Now school is kicking my butt as we're nearing the end of the year and I'm getting all these research papers and projects. So I haven't had much time to read, let alone post any reviews. That being said, I'm going to post a review of The Body Finder tomorrow. So if you're interested, look for that.

Now I have other blog business to take care of. I wanted to let everyone know that Linda Weaver Clarke is having a book giveaway on her blog. The book, Famous Family Nights by Anne Bradshaw, includes recipes, games, and crafts to create a fun family night at your house. Enter here. Contest ends May 24, 2010.

Also, Simply Books was featured on OnlineDegrees.net in a list of the 50 best blogs for teen readers. There are a ton of great other book blogs, so check them out!

Lastly, there's this great book resource called YABooksBuzz. According to the email I received, it's like the Rotten Tomatoes of YA Lit and it's actually pretty cool. There's lists of books and they go around to the different blogs and look for reviews and average everyone's scores. It's really neat and I suggest you check it out. Simply Books was included for reviews of Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver.

Blog Update

So today was my first day of school! Yay! Haha, no, I'm not really that excited. I'm a junior now and I heard it's supposed to be the toughest year. Greeaat. Anyway, I just wanted to come on here and say that I am going to be extremely busy from now on. I have tennis in the fall and then swimming in the winter, plus other school activities. I'm going to try to post reviews as soon as I can, but there might be long lapses of time where I don't post anything. So I just wanted everyone to know that I'm still here and you can still keep checking in for reviews and the like. I'm almost finished Prep, and that review should be up sometime this weekend.

Blog Update

Hello Everyone!

Wow, it's been awhile since I posted a review! I do have a good reason: I had my wisdom teeth removed on Monday. Not a pleasant experience, let me tell you. So I haven't really felt like reading, plus the book I'm reading (Cybele's Secret) is long and kinda drags. Anyway, I'm almost finished it, so a review will most likely be posted tomorrow. I don't think I'll have time for it tonight. I just wanted to let everyone know that I'm still alive, haha. I'm very excited because I got 3 books from my library that are on my To Read list and I'm getting an ARC of Death by Latte, which I can't wait to read. Thanks for stopping by!

Blog Update

Hello Everyone!

Thanks so much to everyone who's been visiting my blog and leaving comments! Most of them were good so that made me happy ; o )

As you can see, I've changed the colors and fixed the lay-out of my posts. I think it looks a lot better and neater. Definitely more uniform.

So I've been trying to get my blog out there and I'm going to start emailing authors to see if I can get an interview. Hopefully someone will say yes. *crosses fingers*

I have a lot of books to read and a lot of spare time (for the moment. When school starts I won't be so lucky), so keep checking back for more reviews! The next book will probably be Life As We Knew It by Susan Beth Pfeffer.
